Personal Projects

Magna Karter

This project was created by myself, Daniel Wright and Luke Nockles as our entry to the 72 hour game development competition in November 2006. The game takes many ideas from the classic SkyRoads game with the addition of fully 3D graphics and new gameplay mechanics.

Work Experience

Reflections Interactive

During my work placement year (2005-2006) of my degree course I worked at Reflections Interactive on Driver: Parallel Lines and other games, and was responsible for the design aspects of the vehicle handling.

University Projects

Car Handling Simulation

The purpose of this project is to investigate the implementation of car handling physics with an emphasis on the fulfilling the requirements of video games while maintaining a good level of realism.

Real-time Graphics engine

In this project I am creating a graphics engine that exhibits several cutting-edge visual effects and graphical techniques on current generation hardware.

Software Renderer

Created during the 2nd year of my degree course, this was an offline renderer that displayed many techniques used in 3D games engines, including bump mapping, shadow mapping and HDR post processing.
